I always hated that thing in movies where the character loses their job but doesn't tell the family, and just goes out every day and sits around at the bar, moping because "how will I support my family now" and I'm always screaming at them in my head, you idiot, be a fucking adult and tell them so it doesn't all blow up when the bills come in... I always hated that.

And here I am now, unable to tell my family that I didn't get the job I was counting on after all. Hmm.
