Probably more than I can think of right now, but mine are:

- I can't ride a bike anymore.
- I used to be able to write in cursive but I can't now.
- I can't read sheet music anymore, which makes me sad because I used to be able to look at it and just know what every note meant.
- Read Roman numerals beyond 12.
- Count much above ten in any of the languages I learnt at school.

Your first two are also mine. Can't draw too well anymore either, and while I was never spectacular I like to think I could be pretty good at times.

Maybe if I practiced I could get it back...idk.

And chess. :( Used to be decent at darts and shooting hoops too.

I feel like I'm perpetually fighting against loosing my skills completely in art/music/languages/mathematics/athletics. :(

I take solace in the fact that it's never too late. It's never too late...

I do believe that! If you want to improve a skill you need only take it up again. You know what they say about practice making perfect. (I mean, it's a total lie, nothing is ever perfect, but whatever. It can be close enough!)

I think most people have this happen at point in their life. If you aren't constantly using your skills they're going to decline. It can be hard to find the time for all of them.

How about we both put action to our words, get our skills somewhat back in shape?

Well... Idk about biking (Though that would be the best one for me to learn; I'm losing weight and trying to live a bit healthier), but drawing I could maybe do. The last time I drew I hated everything and it was a major disappointment. Not making promises, but yea, I would like to be able to draw without hating the result.

What would you like to take up again?

(I see your icon and I take note! ;__;)

I'm working on languages rn because it's the easiest to multitask/spend time on. Muscle toning should be another easy one but I have to remember to do it. Ideally, I'd like to work on EVERYTHING but time constraints mean I have to prioritize.

I've been thinking about this the last few hours but I need to restart the system and unload memory. Processes are not running even close to 100% right now. Mind if I try the reply again tomorrow? Sorry!

(Nah, I just wanted to use Thor and Cap. In this case it is pure coincidence!)

I envy you with your languages. The only language (other than English) that I ever studied was Spanish and I almost failed. >.> Hopefully you can pick right up right where you left off!

(No worries my tentacled friend.)

Thankfully I can still draw, but I do practice most days so it's not something I've allowed to go by the wayside. We used to have actual cursive writing lessons at my middle-school but once we left it stopped and over the years I just lost the ability to do it.

I shall always encourage people to draw more because drawing is fun! Yay drawing!

I was never any good at chess, I'd just do random things and either(most likely) loose, or piss of the person I was playing against. A lot of the time I managed both. I can probably still shoot hoops but I could never throw darts properly, it's hard!

Drawing IS fun. It's even more fun when you aren't crap at it! (Hehe.) It can be frustrating if you don't feel like you're making any progress, but that's everything.

Awww, why would you piss them off? I would just be glad to win! (I'm easy like that.) Wanting a more skilled player is understandable, but come on...

Oh yeah I get that, feeling like nothing is improving(no matter what the skill) is immensely frustrating and I understand just how demotivating it can be(I always keep my old really shitty drawings for this reason, so I can look at them and go 'hey I have improved', it helps).

If I just made myself loose I usually didn't annoy anyone, but if I caused a stalemate(which did happen sometimes) that's when I'd really frustrate the person I was playing. Which I get since I was essentially doing it on purpose even if it wasn't entirely deliberate.

Keeping your drawings is an excellent way to see what progress you've made. I have (the majority of) my old drawings that I keep for sentimental reasons, but if one day I feel like taking it up again I want to have them around for comparison. :p It's good you kept yours too!

Haha, that is a possibility though! Don't feel too bad about it.

It also makes for a fun exercise to look at them and go 'wait that's how I used to draw people? OMG NO' 'cause some of my old stuff is so hilariously bad I want to burn it all(but I don't because laughing at it is fun).

At least most of it was doled onto my brother, and it was of course my sworn duty as the little sister to be a pain in his ass. :P

I was never any good at it even when I could ride them, now I doubt I would be able to balance long enough to go more than a couple of feet at most. /madskillz

They keep saying "oh, it's like riding a bike - you might be out of practise but you never really forget how it's done"! Well, they're lying!
