Re: Skills you've lost
- I can't ride a bike anymore.
- I used to be able to write in cursive but I can't now.
- I can't read sheet music anymore, which makes me sad because I used to be able to look at it and just know what every note meant.
- Read Roman numerals beyond 12.
- Count much above ten in any of the languages I learnt at school.
Re: Skills you've lost
Maybe if I practiced I could get it back...idk.
And chess. :( Used to be decent at darts and shooting hoops too.
Re: Skills you've lost
I take solace in the fact that it's never too late. It's never too late...
Re: Skills you've lost
I think most people have this happen at point in their life. If you aren't constantly using your skills they're going to decline. It can be hard to find the time for all of them.

Re: Skills you've lost
What would you like to take up again?
Re: Skills you've lost
I'm working on languages rn because it's the easiest to multitask/spend time on. Muscle toning should be another easy one but I have to remember to do it. Ideally, I'd like to work on EVERYTHING but time constraints mean I have to prioritize.
I've been thinking about this the last few hours but I need to restart the system and unload memory. Processes are not running even close to 100% right now. Mind if I try the reply again tomorrow? Sorry!
Re: Skills you've lost
I envy you with your languages. The only language (other than English) that I ever studied was Spanish and I almost failed. >.> Hopefully you can pick right up right where you left off!
(No worries my tentacled friend.)
Re: Skills you've lost
I shall always encourage people to draw more because drawing is fun! Yay drawing!
I was never any good at chess, I'd just do random things and either(most likely) loose, or piss of the person I was playing against. A lot of the time I managed both. I can probably still shoot hoops but I could never throw darts properly, it's hard!
Re: Skills you've lost
Awww, why would you piss them off? I would just be glad to win! (I'm easy like that.) Wanting a more skilled player is understandable, but come on...
Re: Skills you've lost
If I just made myself loose I usually didn't annoy anyone, but if I caused a stalemate(which did happen sometimes) that's when I'd really frustrate the person I was playing. Which I get since I was essentially doing it on purpose even if it wasn't entirely deliberate.
Re: Skills you've lost
Haha, that is a possibility though! Don't feel too bad about it.
Re: Skills you've lost
At least most of it was doled onto my brother, and it was of course my sworn duty as the little sister to be a pain in his ass. :P
