So my brother's girlfriend is coming over later tonight and we are going to bake! It's my uncle's birthday so we're baking him a normal birthday cake and then I got TARDIS cake pans for Christmas, so I'm going to bake White Russian TARDIS cakes. YUM!!

Absolutely! I'm super excited to try these cake pans out.

Then after that, I have to figure out how to dye cake to be the blue of the TARDIS and just make lots and lots of TARDIS cakes.

Blue's easy enough with food coloring. White cake + blue food coloring = TARDIS-colored cake. You'd have to add a little bit of brown (i.e., green plus red) to make it a less bright brilliant blue. I wouldn't use a lot of brown, just a touch, to darken the color of the blue.

I assume you're referring to the liquid food coloring, right? I know Wilton makes another kind that's supposed to give a better range of colors but eh. Either way, I'm excited to try these.

Yeah, definitely liquid food coloring. I've heard of Wilton, but it's not available locally.

I can imagine! Do you even have an oven in Tokyo? These cake pans are super tiny. And adorable.

Ooooh! What's a White Russian cake like?

I took up baking as a hobby recently (in September) and I'm having a ton of fun with it. I only wish I'd taken it up sooner, maybe even gone to school for it.

I got the recipe from someone on fandomsecrets actually! Do you know the drink White Russian? It's vodka, Kahlua, and heavy cream/milk. So this is a box cake mix, vanilla instant pudding mix, kahlua, vodka, milk and a few other ingredients. If you want the recipe, I can definitely post it.

I love to bake for fun. I've really taking to baking with alcohol. And I'm also partial to cookies because I mail them to friends all the time.

I'm thinking of baking cookies to earn some money on the side until I find a real job! Baking cookies and knitting scarves.

There's the link to the comment with the recipe. It's super easy and very yummy. Be warned, the alcohol does NOT all cook out in this recipe and is still strong tasting. Which is a good thing if you like White Russians.
