No no, I totally agree that it should be easier and less stigmatized to get help.

But I wouldn't be comfortable with people calling it an orientation on par with gay, straight, etc. It's not something people should be proud of or advertise, because it is dangerous to children and can lead to being harmful if you don't seek help.

It's kind of like having major anger issues (except more extreme). It should be okay to seek help and you shouldn't be hated or shunned for saying they have them, but it's also not something to be proud of because you don't ever want to get to the point where you are using it to justify things. It's not a neutral personality trait; it is a problem that needs to be fixed. and for full disclosure, I have anger problems/related personality issues.
