MORE FOR ME THEN

lol, it's all cool, OP. I've just loved Aidan Turner since he was on Being Human, so my crush has just transferred to these movies.

+1. He was great on Being Human, and I get a kick out of him being a dwarf. He's probably hideous by dwarven standards.

Plus I've always liked Kili (and Fili) so it probably wouldn't even had mattered who played him. But imo Kili isn't even nearly the hottest dwarf... Thorin is. Heh. ALTHOUGH Dwalin is super hot too and Bofur and Ori and Nori are adorable. So many attractive dwarves...

I may or may not have rewatched all of Robin Hood just to see Richard Armitage in eyeliner and leather.

A fine idea! Man, I've had moments of, "Who even notices the brothers when their uncle is standing right there." But many of the dwarves are very cute in their unique ways and I applaud PJ and co for this decision to make them as appealing as possible. A+

That is dedication my friend. (Okay, I just REALLY didn't care for Robin Hood. But Richard...Jesus, he was insanely hot in that role. I can't even blame you.)

Have you seen this nose? And those ears? Little girls have more beards than him! Bless his heart, but he hasn't been gifted with good looks like good Bombur over here. Now, that's a fine dwarf!

The extended edition is great for knowing the actors' headcanons about their characters. The 'Ri brothers are the best of the lot, in terms of headcanons!

I always figured Bombur for a more hobbit-style beauty, the look of someone who knows how to enjoy his food and share the bounty. For the dwarves, I thought maybe Dori might be the finest. What with the platinum hair bound in silver, and the punch that could knock out a cave-troll ...

lmao, as much as I love Kili and don't mind his lack of beard, I do find it amusing. Little girl dwarves probably DO have bigger beards than him. The lack of braids is probably a turnoff as well. Bombur knows where it's at, man. Nori and Oin and Fili are all handsome dwarves as well. Maybe Kili should copy them.

God, I still need to pick that up. I'm glad to know there's plenty of headcanon bits from the actors on it!

I have to say, the lack of braids is a turn-off for me. I don't know what it is about these movies, but suddenly braids on men is one of the hottest things I've ever seen. Long, intricate hair, plus something to tug on ...

Though it might not all have been these movies. The Duellists (1977), with Harvey Keitel and Keith Carradine, might have had something to do with it as well.

IMO Kili is definitely pretty but because of his lack of braids or beard he does look sort of plain compared to the rest of the dwarves. I think he would be several times hotter if he would put some pretty braids in his hair. I like them too; they're beautiful and tasteful! Maybe Kili wants to be different? Idk, but yea, his hair could be more interesting.

See, that's the weird thing for me. I loved Aidan Turner in Being Human, but in the Hobbit movies I just find him "meh".

(Anonymous) 2014-01-20 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Being Human is actually why I'm Meh about him. Hated Being Human and his character on it. Blegh.
