I legitimately think Jane is a great character and really enjoy Portman in the role. Seeing people hate on her makes me sad. The Thor/Jane romance could be improved and if TPTB decided to drop it I wouldn't be heartbroken, but I do think they're cute. Plus, she's more than Thor's love interest; she's smart, brave and takes shit from no one. (And her awkwardness and excitement for her job is incredibly cute and endearing. Thor is a lucky guy! And she's a lucky gal.)

The Lori hate was ridiculous and a huge overreaction. Not that Lori was my favorite either, but I don't get the loathing some people have for her.

Clara isn't an awful character but I haven't connected with her either. I feel like it's the writing and not the actresses fault though.
