Unfortunately, no matter how crystal clear you might make things, readers will have their own interpretation of a story. Heck, I've written stories that I don't think have much plot, then reviewers will come up with all sorts of interpretations, which I find pretty cool.

I used to obsess about everyone "seeing what I'm seeing", myself. Then I realized that I make my own stuff up out of whole cloth that creators don't intend whatsoever (ie. non-canon pairings with absolutely no feasibility in canon, but dang, it's fun).

So let yourself go and see what your mind/Muse/whatever you call it feeds you. You might be surprised to learn that the thing you consider to be pointless drivel ends up having some very deep meaning to others out there.
