It's basically pure masturbation and Sorkin airing personal grievances about people he didn't like. Plus it's just sorta ridiculous -- he tries to make the actions and social-issue-related conversations and views of the writers of a sketch comedy as important as those of top White House advisers and it just...doesn't work.
