Be as mean as you want. You can't hurt me.

What is one place you would tell people to visit and why?

Ireland. I went there was I was nine. Part of the reason it was meaningful is because it's where my family name comes from, but it's a gorgeous place to visit. The food is good, the people are friendly, and I saw a double rainbow.

Second place: the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Mountains, rivers, trees, awesome little cities everywhere, and lots of history. It is the prettiest part of Virginia.

I want to go to Ireland at some point but my list is huge, I never know when I'll be able to cross it all off.

Any particular town in Shenandoah Valley? I've driven down 81 but we didn't really stop and I've driven through VA several times and I agree, it's really pretty.

Staunton is my favorite. Lots of independent book stores, a couple of museums, good restaurants, the American Shakespeare Theatre and it's easy to walk around!

Maybe next time I'm taking a roadtrip I'll have to take a stop there, thanks!

Ireland has been my dream destination for so long. I'll get there one day *sigh*

When did you stop beating your wife?

More seriously: what is your favorite book? What would you say is the principle influence on your outlook on life? If you could live in any fictional world, what would it be?

I'm an unmarried straight woman. If I ever find a husband, I might smack him but he would enjoy it.

One of my favorite books is 'Ivanhoe'. While I don't know that it shaped my outlook on life (that is more probably the result of my family) it remains one of only two books that can make me cry.

If I could live in a fictional world I would choose....Avatar: the Last Airbender. There's a chance I could be an earthbender!

Do you own any pets?

Drive by icon love. Richard Armitage is sex on two feet.

I have a bamboo plant at the office, and a hyacinth in my apartment. I consider them pets. Pets that I don't have to clean up after. At some point I'd like a cat.

Do you have a life philosophy and if so, what is it?

I dunno if I have a life philosophy, but I have a few core beliefs that have gotten me through a lot.

Be tough.
Work hard.
Save money.
Take the opportunities life gives you and be thankful.
When in doubt, pray.
