It wasn't a suprise on the difference, just the name: In Norwegian milk is named like this:

The kinds you drink, from most to least fat:
H (Whole) Milk (I guess what you would call full fat)
Light Milk (what most people drink)
Extra Light Milk
Skimmed Milk

Then the ones used in cooking and so on;
Coffee Cream
Whipped Cream
Light Cream

So we actually have a milk (or cream) that is specially made for making whipped cream.

Certain brands will call it "heavy whipping cream" and others just call it "heavy cream"

But that's neat to know that it's fairly similar in Norwegian!

We have all of two brands of Milk in Norway, and the second one barely counts. They have the same names for their milk tho.

It is pretty similar, except we don't use the % thing so I get confused, they are written on the bottles, but we don't really use that info for anything.
