Sometimes when I'm writing, I'm just writing because I want to see my two characters interact. When I post it, half the feedback I get is about the "themes" and "symbolism" in my fic and honestly, I sit back and go, "wha-? It was? I am?"

Short story shorter, people find what they want in your work. Relax, write what you want and let people find what they want. :)
