Re: What do you like to see in a hurt/comfort fic?

In the past I liked extreme hurt from which a character gets build up again. There were that House fic, where House was blackmailed with his friends' safety and it has the most unrealistic plot. Or I'd read some angsty anime fics.

Nowadays I like emotional hurt over phisical and that is not over the top. For example, I rarely like Harry Potter fics where Harry gets hit with the belt at home and Hedwig also gets hurt, etc. I think it's over the top. At the same time I'm ok if Harry gets tortured in the hands of Death Eaters.

I also love and always have loved sick!fics. They should be short and revolve around a sudden!cold or something similar.

I think I like attempted rape fics, where another character helps the hurt one to deal with it. Or harassement fics.

I like Hurt/Comfort fics to be finished, not too OOC, or at least with a gradual shift to OOC, not too graphic and mostly about comfort with hurt shown in flashbacks or in the very beggining. I could do with extra fluffy ones too. The more the better, actualy.
