Re: Your Place in Fandom History

I was always more of a lurker than a participant. I remember, in no particular order, early HP website wars, LJ strikethrough 2007, the migration to greatestjournal and subsequent migration back, some m/m original fic/erotica author/reader/publishing wanks, Avatar: TLA wanks, half of FMA manga fandom, Dreamwidth vs LJ wanks, wanks about AO3 from its earliest beta stages, some manga scanlation wanks, dA drama... I don't remember most of what went down but the feeling awe from the stupidity and impossibility of some of what was happening.

As for participation, most of my contributions are probably in the FMA fandom. When the FMA:B vs FMA the first anime wank started up, I tried to take a balanced approach and view both anime series as equally canon. Canon in different canons, that is. I was fairly active on F!S in its early days and gave more than $0.02 regarding the move to DW. I also do some very peripheral stuff for Avengers but nothing notable - unless enabling headcanons can be considered notable. *shrug*
