I'm still trying to get used to the redesigns. They look so weird to me especially since I've been to watching the original show on Boomerang for the past few weeks. Hope they look better in motion too.

That...was not very good. I liked maybe one of the jokes, but the pacing was so quick and a number of times I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be continuing the story.

I was excited at first because I really liked the intro, and at first I really liked the art and thought it was cute and girly, but once it got into the cartoon I was surprised at the art style because it was so jittery and it went from looking like a paper cut out to a 3d effect and I didn't like the contrast.

It was okay, but that's all it was. I'm mostly disappointed. I've a HUGE PPG fan since the show first aired when I was young so I was hoping it would be much better.

That basically sums up my feelings on the matter. I didn't care for the art or redesigns but I was willing to give them a chance. Once we got into the actual cartoon and the we got a 3D effect, I didn't really like it. It just didn't work and looked so out of place. The story, if you can call it that, was terrible. It wasn't really cohesive and wasn't at all interesting.

Tbh, it kinda felt like some sort of cash-in or ratings grab. Something hastily and cheaply put together to cash-in on nostalgia.

Yea that was the feeling I got, felt like they threw it together just to try to draw in old fans. It sounds like the original creators didn't have any say in the making of it so that probably is a part of it.

Honestly I thought I was going to love the art because it was so cutesy but yeah the 3d thing just didn't work. (also this is maybe a bit dumb but I was hoping for a little bit of blood/gore and stuff along with the super cuteness since that was the whole original idea for the show)

Wait, they didn't have a say in it? Do you have a source for that? Ugh, that would explain why it was so terrible. Especially compared to the tenth anniversary special. I wouldn't put it past CN to do it as some sort of cash grab or leave the creators out of it.

I didn't think there would be any gore or blood, but with it would have been nice contrast if there had been.

Apparently there was somebody from the original series who worked on it but the creator of the cartoon did not.

I juts realized Blossom is suppose to be the only one with ice breath but Bubbles was using it too DANG COME ON MAN they could have at least kept the powers correct. Now I'm even more disappointed.

Well fuck, no wonder why it was so underwhelming. So it was a cash-in.

... Well crap, I should've looked at this earlier. Totally forgot about it with Sleepy Hollow on.

Ah well that's good you get a chance to see it then. I didn't care for it, I thought I would like it but it just wasn't very true to the original. Hopefully you end up liking it more than I did.
