I... really never saw anything homoerotic about it at all? It always seemed strictly parental to me, unless I'm completely misremembering things. Gojyo and Hakkai, yeah, sure, there was homoeroticism all over the place between them, but I don't recall anything with Sanzo and Goku that was anything more than just a familial type of bond.

I always thought it was the fans reading shippy stuff into it where there was none, because I sure as heck didn't see it.
