Re: Tech Woes

My old kindle died so I had to get a new one. It's the kindle paperwhite, and I still like it. But every time I try to sort something non-amazon-bought into one of my collections, up pops a warning that it can't synchronise the document with the amazon cloud. And an additional warning if the internet isn't turned on. And considering I read a lot of fic on the kindle and want it properly sorted into their respective collections, it really gets very, very annoying after a while. I don't know why they can't add a "Don't show this message again" option like most computers have. Gah.

Have you tried talking to Amazon? They have been pretty good to me.

Several people have complained about this on the kindle support forum, but I guess not enough to warrant a patch or anything. Even if it were just a small effort - if too few customers are annoyed, I doubt they'll change anything. But ah, well, I'll hope for the best and wait for the next firmware update.
