because men do not have social pressures to adhere to 1 impossible look. men are not forced to go hairless by society, so even if a man is pressured by one woman to change his look, he is not being body shamed because he has a whole culture telling him that he has ever right look how he wants and he can to tell her to go to hell. Women do not have this right which is what makes body shaming a dangerous harmful practice.

But men do have societal pressures to adhere to and impossible standards to meet. No, it's not the same pervasive level that women do, but it exists. To say that it doesn't exist at all is just stupid and makes me sure that you're a troll. Women do have the right to tell people to go to hell. You're not even making sense anymore. But I'm bored so at least you're providing a bit of entertainment.

Body shaming for women has a fuck ton of extra baggage attached to it, true, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist for men.

Also, I would not call this body shaming so much as pressuring someone into doing something they don't want to with their body to please you. Which is I guess kind of the same thing but I do see a subtle difference. Either way it's not cool. Each individual person has the right to make their own choices about personal things like body hair.

OFFS, just...quit and go away, would you? I am so done with people trying to claim that if the whole damn society isn't doing it to some beat-down minority then it isn't real and doesn't count and it's perfectly okay to be a complete asshole to someone who's a member of a privileged group!

If someone is subjected to treatment that makes them feel ashamed, for whatever bad reason, THEN THEY HAVE BEEN SHAMED. Period. End of discussion. No further input on your part is required or will be acknowledged. Have a shitty day.
