Excuse you, Frodo would write the VERY FINEST poetry; your words are LIES. (No, no, it looks exactly like that. Poor Frodo. He can't help being so moody.)

His poetry would be angsty and focus on what he had for second breakfast today. And of course he's moody. Nobody understaaaaaaaaaaands him. He's got to carry this stupid ring to Mordor and then throw it. It's not like Gandalf could ask the eagles to drop them off at the foot of the volcano or anything.

Second breakfast is a perfectly fine topic of discussion, I'll have you know. What else does he have?!

The Eagles probably don't want to deal with that shit. Of course they do Gandalf favors now and then but they seem to try not to concern themselves too much with the dealings of man. Plus, flying eagles aren't stealthy... But yea, it might've worked. Then the story would've been boring. Suck it up Frodo, Middle Earth is at stake!

He could write about elevensies or luncheon! But instead he chooses to wallow in the misery that is second breakfast, all while bemoaning how life is an illusion and pain is a constant needle pricking his soul and Gawd, Boromir, you just don't get what torture it is to carry around the ring.

The eagles are just lazy. They're like the mom who could take you to school, but instead makes you ride the bus.

Maybe he writes about all of them? He certainly has enough time to, at least at night... When it's dark and cold and the ground is itchy and he has nothing substantial to lay his poor hobbit head on. Oh Frodo, the pain you endure.

Well to be fair to Frodo, the ring DOES do pretty funky things to oneself. If he sees a few illusions now and then who could blame him? Boromir wants to know though. He wants to know so very, very much.

HOW DARE YOU BESMIRCH THE GREAT EAGLES! HOW DAREEEEEE YOUUUUUUUUU. (Maybe they just didn't want to listen to the entire fellowship yapping all the way to Mordor.)

Naw. At night Frodo's like,

I hear the screams of the tormented.
They think I cringe at the sound of ring wraiths.
But no.
It is Aragorn's snoring.

Yeah, the ring is pretty cray-cray. But the illusions could also be the pipe weed, which Frodo claims helps bring out his artistic genius.

I can imagine how the conversations between the eagles and Fellowship would go down. "Boromir, quit bothering Frodo! Peregrin Took, don't you make me land myself!"

Eagles ain't up for that madness.

Well... Frodo IS used to sleeping alone? Snoring takes getting used to!

Let's be honest, Hobbits are stoners; they don't need excuses, they just go with it.

“Don't make me land myself!” *cackle*

How many times would those poor eagles hear “Are we there yet?” How many dirty ditties? You can hardly blame the eagles.
