It's bad enough in Brisbane, though I have to feel sorry for the southern states.

I saw a chart the other day. On the really bad days, we can go up to 35°C in dry heat (Santiago is in a valley). It's nasty, but nothing compared to the 40°-50° range you're getting.

Yeah, the day a couple of weeks ago now when Brisbane got up in the high 30s, Mum and I fled to one of the big shopping centres. Even then, there were a few time when it felt like their air-con was struggling.

Luckily Brisbane is not getting the worst of it, that's more the inland areas being blistered.

I don't remember the weather being this horrible 10 years ago. Really, how can people deny Global Warming? The extreme seasons are being a disaster for both hemispheres.
