There were so many goodies in the extended editions. Pretty much everything you could possibly want in one package. I loved the variety and the massive amount of bonus features; most films come with a couple small featurettes and that's it, but LOTR had it all in spades. Excellent quality, too.

I remember when they first came out I would watch a bit before school every morning. If I didn't I'd be grumpy and feel like my day was off to a bad start. They are endlessly entertaining, those films.

Heee! Yes, i watched a new thing every day for like a week or something, and then started all over again. It was just so *cozy* to sit in my living room and watch it and listen to the actors or the P. Jackson or whoever talk about *so many things*.

And they were all so happy and in awe of NZ and the books and each other - it was such a love fest. :)

I know, they were so genuinely happy about being involved with the films and working with each other and it was delightful. And PJ and the rest of the crew were so dedicated to the material and SO much effort went into the props and it was just really fascinating to watch and listen to. The wardrobe bits were some of my favorites because the clothes, unf. (I want Galadriel, Arwen and Eowyn's clothing...even though I couldn't fit into them.)

YES! I wanted all the armor, all the robes, all the swords.... So gorgeous and all the little details they put in, ones we didn't even see, so *amazing*!
