Being the daughter of two people who worked in the medical field, I just cannot *imagine*. Injured people are not 100 percent mentally or physically. If your job is important for saving the world, or battling evil aliens from space, or finding a cure for a plague, or whatever - you speak the hell up and *get better* so your injury-induced fuzziness/fever/inability to breathe/move/run is *not compromised*.

Arrgh. I just hate it. Being injured isn't a *weakness*, but hiding it sure can turn into one.

I think people underestimate how important the little details can be in espionage and combat. Yeah, sure, maybe your reflexes due to lack of sleep is only reduced by a speed of a few seconds, but that can be the difference between life and death in the battlefield.

Exactly. 'So and so had not slept for three days....' Well, so and so is starting to hallucinate and micro-sleep and will most likely die if forced to fight someone.

So frustrating.

I know, right? How fucking selfish could you be? People DEPEND on you and you are actually risking lives because of your ego? How fucking dare you.

And a lot of the time they collaspe or something during an important fight FOR THE DRAMA and yet, to my immense anger, they are never severely punished for this. I would kick the ass of any subordinate who risked lives like that, but apparently actual professionals do not share my opinion.

HA, yes! If i had a team of ne'er-do-well but ultimately good-hearted misfits who were tasked with Doing Good in a Worlde Gonne Madd, and they pulled that? Asses would be kicked.
