I also want to apologize for shocking idiotic comments I made last year about bipolar disorder. All the criticism I received was absolutely deserved and I'm sorry that I yelled back because you guys were right, I was a total shithead who completely misinterpreted the situation because I was speaking from ignorance. I'm glad you guys took the time to set me straight. Thank you.

She has bipolar disorder and a history of addiction.

OP, if it helps, I have pretty severe mental illness and I do still have some very happy moments. It is possible. I know it doesn't feel like it when you're struggling, but there are always bright points.
