That they can! Actually "how hard can it be" is something they can engrave on my gravestone irregardless of me dying at sea trying to raid an island.

Probably. They'll probably make badly acted and poorly written movies about the Civil War where the characters dress for the wrong century and use lingo from the seventies. Oh, and nobody will bother to fact check that Herbert Hoover was not President during the Civil War.

Y'know, like we do for the Romans, the Vikings, and everybody else under the sun.
