Re: MMORPG?
(Anonymous) 2014-01-23 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)It super duper depends on the community. I've played some that were cesspits and awful, and I play some that are wonderful lovely experiences. Right now my main game is Guild Wars 2 which is buy-to-play with no subscription and I've found myself an excellent server/community to play with. But I've heard some worlds/servers are downright awful, so again even within the game it depends on the community and what you're looking to get out of it.
There are a few buy-to-play or free MMORPGs out there so if you're interested in the genre you could look around for something lighter on the wallet.
I have no experience specifically with Wildstar though. But I hope its' fun for you!
Re: MMORPG?
I'd probably play with my friends + by myself (because my favourite 3 races are on the opposite side to them).
But I discovered that there's 2 payment methods! Your usual give them money per month (not something I can do EVERY month) and an option where you can use the money you make ingame to buy an item off other players that extends the game by a month! That's really rocketed up my interest because really it's the subscriptions to continually play a game I've already bought that piss me off.
My friends have beta (but no beta keys yet) and I watched them play a bit and it looks a lot of fun. You can climb trees! It's really pretty and reminds me of old sci-fi western animes.
