Our of curiosity, are you anything like a typical Aquarius? I always find Aquarians to be a bit eccentric.

Um. I don't know a lot about astrology. I know in the "what other signs are you most compatible with", Aquarians apparently get along really well with other Aquarians, and I do know a lot of them. My childhood best friend's birthday was yesterday. But I don't know what other traits are "typical" because I'm not into that stuff. I could be considered a bit eccentric though, yes.

Astrology is not a real thing. There is no "typical Aquarius", just people who read the extremely general traits arbitrarily assigned to an Aquarius and feel that it applies to them and that this is somehow is mystical instead of being a rather obvious coincidence.

The idea that the date/time you were born locks you into a specific personality type is akin to thinking that thunder and lightning is caused by the angels bowling.

You know, sometimes when I'm walking I avoid stepping on sidewalk cracks just as a silly game, and not because I actually believe it'll break my mother's back. I do it if I'm bored. What I DON'T do is approach total strangers and go, "HEY YOU AREN'T GOING TO STEP ON THAT CRACK AND BREAK YOUR MOTHER'S BACK, RIGHT?"

Because if I did, they'd have every right to tell me that this is not a real thing and I sound like a dingbat for treating it as if it is. So yeah, not the same thing, but thanks for playing.

I have saved many a mother's back by throwing people over the crack as they were about to step on. You are disservicing all mothers by only saving your own.

But "eccentric" applies to almost everyone, regardless of their astrological sign. Who doesn't have any personality quirks or weird habits? That's the reason you always find Aquarians to be a bit eccentric; because it's a trait that is so broadly applicable, everyone you examine will exhibit it to some degree.
