I got Xkit today

I feel better, and I think this is certainly going to help me keep my sanity on tumblr.

I highly recommend anyone else who's troubled by tumblr to get it. It allows you to block posts that may contain something troubling or upsetting or just annoying. and it comes wit a boatload of other cool shit.

I really want to switch to the built in XKit blacklist instead of the addon Tumblr Blacklist but I have been lazy about doing it. I wonder which ones works better...

Xkit blacklist also looks for words in the post itself. So it often catches things that are untagged. And it gives you the ability to see what the tags are if you want and have blacklist apply to user names if you want.

...But Tumblr Savior (or at least, the Firefox version) also lets you see the relevant tags, enter usernames as a blocked term, as well as block content in the body of the post. All you have to do is blacklist 'thing' rather than '#thing'.

It still doesn't have all of the nifty options that xkit does, but TS can and will catch untagged stuff.

Missing E was the extension everyone was using for a while. Tumblr had a thing against it? And kept breaking it? Then the Missing E guy just sort of stopped updating and disappeared.

missing e was another extension for tumblr, similar to xkit, but hadn't been updated or kept with for quite a while in internet time. It didn't use extension add-ons, but it was alright for what it could do.

edit: whoops should have refreshed the hour-old gc page to see anon's better answer. Whay they said.

It's great, I got it mainly for the saviour option but I love some of the other little extensions that you can get too.

Is there anything like Xkit for mobile?

No, not that I know of, but there is Washboard, which is similar. You have to go to the website instead of tumblr, though, which can be a little off putting at first?

It's basically a "clean" version of tumblr, whatever your version of "clean" is.
