I liked AtB and its sequel, too. :)

Sure, they're short, but they definitely get across the fear and uncertainty that even a limited nuclear attack would leave in its aftermath and the struggles of a teenage boy who should just be worrying about his first crush and high school and other ordinary things, but instead he needs to make sure his family just stays alive.

And the War Between the Classes? Maaaan. I thought the racism presented in it was overexaggerated at the time, but re-reading it now? It really kind of isn't. Props to Miklowitz.

Oh yeah, AtB and the sequel definitely left an impression on me with the way it portrayed the attack and it's aftermath.

Never read The War Between the Classes, but now I may see if it's in my area's library system and check it out the next time I'm there.
