So I thought Dick, the little son of the aliens was a trans boy (please politely correct me if my terminology is incorrect, no offense meant) and no one cast a second glance because the alien family breaks social norms all the time and it's not a big deal. Turns out he's just a feminine looking boy with long hair on both the show and real life. Aaaaand I'm embarrassed.

When I watched I thought it was a little girl and I was really happy that they wrote a more traditionally masculine qualities for a little girl! It took me awhile to realize my mistake.
