Their both bad, but most women will never likely have the fear of their families turning on them/kicking them out of their homes, for simply being a woman, unlike an LGBT person.

I'm sorry, would you rather be kicked out of your house or raped? Because one of those is a problem for some gays, the other is a ubiquitous problem for women.

That's not really what I was going for, though. 'Brit' doesn't carry the connotations of cowardice and lack of value. I don't think gays are cowards or lack value, but the word fag does carry all those ideas.
