(Anonymous) 2014-01-25 09:25 am (UTC)(link)Disney may not be as sexist as he will was but the dude was a fucking confirmed anti-Semite and racist and contributed to the oppression of Jewish and people of color back then and just because it was "the times" never excuses him for the fact. Not even his own family excuses that. This isn't some values dissonance going on here, those attitude literally got people killed back then and still do today. The vaudeville was a source of all the racial stereotypes that still subjugate people of color to this day.
