Odd things to feel proud about

Whenever a fill in kink-meme for my prompt gets super-popular (this has happened like two or three times), I feel oddly proud like: "oh yeah, that was MY prompt that was made into an awesome story that everyone loves".

What odd things make you feel proud of yourself?

So much this. I'm trying to train myself to still get up at a reasonable hour on days I don't have to get up for, like, work. Because after a while it's more than just a weekend lie-in, and it starts making me double exhausted and cranky on the mornings I do have to get up, and it's just not fun.

So, yes. Getting up before noon is totally a thing I feel proud about when I manage it.

That time I got bored between uni classes so I went and got a bus license.

I've been proud of getting awesome fills too! I always feel kind of silly about it though, but yes, it's happened, lol.

Oh, and I've been going to bed before 12 and getting up at 7 AM to eat, do chores and exercise. It's a pain in the ass but I feel like I've done something productive and that cheers me up a bit.

Right now I'm proud of taking care of my girlfriend's cats better than she was taking care of them. They adore me. One of them seriously will not leave me alone and keeps following me everywhere, and they're SO WELL-BEHAVED now, and the grouchy one is all kittenishly playful again...

I have never had the opportunity to be a cat person, because I always had rabbits. But apparently I'm pretty good at it.

A necklace with a cute little purple jade dolphin that I finally bought after eyeing it up at the thrift store for months turned out to be worth at least $70.

I payed $8.99.

My knack for thrifting in general. Also, my vintage medical textbook collection. And my coffee skills. (I can prepare coffee in four different ways, and am good at mixing stuff with it.)

Doesn't seem that odd to me. I love it when prompts of mine become uber popular stories.

The oddest thing that makes me feel proud of myself today is probably going out in the cold to get the mail.

I am proud of great stories based on my prompts, too. Mostly because ... sure, maybe someone would have gotten the same idea anyway, but that cool story only exists right now because I had this cool idea.
