This. I mean, I don't need a graphic description of any (if any) contraception that's used. But some indication as to whether or not it was even considered by the characters, or that they're aware of possible consequences, is actually pretty important to me. How the potential of pregnancy is handled can say a lot about a character and their society.

Are you reading about children having sex? Because if you're not, it's a pretty safe bet the sex-having characters know how babies are made.
