I'm just saying in my experience in being in quite a few fandoms I can think of very few het fics that didn't involve PIV sex that weren't pegging fics. (Not that I have a problem with pegging, but it can get old).

Hell, from what I've seen, slash tends to be more creative on that end. Sure, there's an abundance of anal, but there's still 69s, frottage, and mutual masturbation.

It can get old? Unlike every other sex act in fic? I'm not saying that any fandom has a wealth of het fic that is oh so different. I'm saying it IS out there and if OP has that much of a problem with it, then there are options. Also hit up a kink meme or prompt fests and request what you want to see!

Yeah, well. Again, different fandoms because I'm pretty much done with 1 finger, 2 finger, 3 finger, dick slash scenes.

I mean, yeah, there are options, but they're really limited in a lot of fandoms, so I don't really blame the OP for sticking to slash or femslash or whatever they're into. Most of time PIV sex isn't labeled for a het fic because it's pretty much a given, so it would take a bit more effort to find something else. That's what I was just trying to say. And most kink memes are very slash oriented, so you'd have a hard time finding het fic in general.

I actually like PIV het, so it's not like I'm bashing it or anything. I'm just saying that smut writers don't really deviate from it very often.

I agree with you that slash smut in a lot of fandoms can be pretty formulaic as well, but I feel like in a lot of the bigger fandoms there's just more slash smut than het smut in general so it's easier to find different things.
