yes lol bareback is not encouraged either irl but in slash fic it happens 24/7. why? because freedom of fantasy!
But I make sure in my het I always write a condom in or some sort of question about safety. I can understand the versions without that but then I would include the consequences as well. (I think often people forget about that because they're driven in the moment or don't kind of want to ruin it with a mention to something "back-to-earth". I like that kind of reality though even if it is in a fantasy world.
