Yeah, there's a ton of Donatello/April out there. Which is okay for those who like it, but it's not really my cup of tea (mostly because Donnie was a huge creep about it at the beginning, esp. during 'Metalhead', and that soured me on the relationship). The Casey Jones bashing from some of the more extreme fans is depressing, too, though I haven't ventured into the Tumblr tags for a while now, so I don't know how bad it's been since he first appeared. =T

And that's not getting into the incest shipping either, including one ship that may or may not classify as incest. (in full disclosure, I myself have an incest squick, but YMMV)

There is some good meta that occasionally goes around from some people -like some feminist critique of April's inconsistent characterization, the dynamic between the Turtles compared to past shows, or pointing out the cultural dissonance in how some people see Splinter's parenting/teaching of his sons-, but you have to dig deep for it.
