I'm a bit confused. I thought "trolls" were people making negative or purposely argumentative and insulting or offensive comments. If they're funny or witty or amusing, why would that be considered trolling?

There are shitty trolls like rad!fem and then there are argumentative non-trolls who just want to discuss. Then there are the more entertaining or witty trolls, such as the ones who helped husky!drama keep going (and people look back and laugh). They start an argument and keep it going p. much, but the heavy handed-offensive ones (or outright inept such as radfem) are the face of trolling.

I can appreciate a good troll though, even if I fall for it.

nah, you can troll with stupid harmless stuff (like starting stuff about shipping), or troll people who legitimately have offensive opinions, and even troll the trolls.

Yes. My sister told me about a hilarious guy who trolled something...like Westboro Baptists or something...just sarcastically responding to everything on the page. I was like, New hero!

Nothing wrong with trolling the trolls!

I actively support counter-trolling. I think it's actually the only form of trolling I've ever engaged in.
