Spoilers obviously
It plays on the juxtaposition between an incredibly cute slice of life begining played straight, which dives into complete edginess in an isolated village with body horror, stalking, torture, and murder.
And I mean incredibly slice of life style silliness start, it's pretty interesting what it attempts.
