Know of any? Places where people go to discuss ideas, fics, tropes, big bangs, and so on? I follow some writing blogs and they have a lot of advice but it's not really a place to discuss things. Writing forums would be okay too, just as long as they don't just allow professional/original story writers.

That's really the only active one I know of - the rest are either very very slow, or dead. Sorry.

That'd be pretty cool. I think we have a good number of writers here in f!s already to start out with a decently-sized comm. You just need to nominate somebody to be a mod!

That's what I was thinking. I've never modded anything so I didn't feel comfortable volunteering. Anyone you think would be good?

How about something like this? I'm not OP of this comment thread, but I've been dying to be a part of a "writers community" (for talking about writing instead of posting fic) like that. I was bored this afternoon and sort of put one together, but I don't really know anything about modding or making things look nice, or the ins and outs of dreamwidth for that matter.

I really want to be a part of one! Not one necessarily for advertising fic, but for discussing writing - from the craft to ideas, etc.
