That shawl is gorgeous! You must be incredibly patient to create that, and the ponies are adorable. I especially like the Shego one.

Heh, normally I shrug off people who comment on my patience when they see my knitting, because knitting is how I keep myself from gettin impatient and twitchy, but that one? Yeah, that was a definite exercise in patience. :) Over a year of work, probably close to a thousand beads, and I ran out of yarn and had to rework the last few rows of the end section twice. But it was worth it. And Shego's one of my favorite of the ponies I've done, too, and the first one I ever finished.

I taught myself basic knitting and even that takes a lot of time and patience.

A thousand beads? Dang. That's a lotta beads. A lotta, lotta beads.

Oh wow, I might have to queue that one. I think half-circle is the only basic shawl shape I haven't done yet.

Shipwreck is pretty big, but except for the miles and miles of fishnet lace and the tedious stringing of the beads I found it to be a very fast knit.
