I didn't think much about Gamagooori but now that it's established that Mako is more or less "special" to him I'm going apeshit with this ship. It's too cute to handle

omg me too. I started to like him when he offered Ryuuko and Mako a ride, then I *really* started to like him after his flashback. He's a good guy, just super serious and a stickler for the rules. Add Mako's bubbly cheery personality and it's a great mix. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside *_*

I am in a similar boat as you because I didn't really think he was all that great at first but now the mako stuff is making him way better and I do think her being special to him is super cute and I just really really like it

but it is also distressing me because the first half of the series almost made me think ryuko/mako was going to be endgame (especially episode 12!!!) and now I'm a tiny bit sad that kill la kill is not secretly a yuri anime

Those were your yuri goggles, anon. There was nothing lesbian about Mako and Ryuuko, it was just a regular friendship. Nonon's feelings for Satsuki, on the other hand, have some yuri subtext going on.

IKR? I just cannot stop shipping them. I think I first started shipping them when Gamagoori picked her and Ryuko up with his car... from that moment on I was like: "lemme just put on my shipping goggles..."
