They use "I" in every other line. Also, using the royal we would still make it incorrect, would it not? Because when royals use the “we” they are implying the people of their country share in the decision/statement/whatever.

It's okay, it's kind of like, you take something that someone is saying and then you say, "YOU'RE the ____," and usually it doesn't make sense which is why it's fun.
