The prevailing theory I've heard so far is that this is technically going to be season 5 and 6 (it will be airing in two 13-episode blocks), but they're calling it one season to a) guarantee that they'll be able to do a six-season arc and get a resolution, and b) not have to do whatever contract renegotiation happens after you've held onto a cast and crew for five years. So this will probably be the last season, which I am cool with as long as we get a satisfactory ending.

I figured it was something like that. While I love Haven, don't want to see it end anytime soon and will keep watching as long as Syfy keeps airing it, as long as the show gets a proper ending and TPTB end the show as they want to end it, I'll be okay with it. I'll be disappointed because the cast is awesome and I want them on my tv as often as possible, but I can accept it. Although...this means that Nathan and Duke need to hurry up and kiss.

Yea, I think you're right! They could probably do more, but six seasons is a good, long run, and if they can finish the story they want to tell in six seasons I'll be pleased.

I swear if the show ends without those two locking lips just once I will scream. It MUST happen. (I keep thinking back to how Eric thinks Nathan and Duke should hook up and hoping TPTB will just go, "Screw it, FINE, let's do this!")

Also, keep writing that Nathan/Duke. Don't you stop, there's not enough in fandom.
