You know, I was fascinated by the alternate!Labyrinths that could have been when I read about the other casting ideas Henson and Co. had. Sting and Michael Jackson were his earlier choices for Jareth, it was Brian Henson who talked him into Bowie. A front runner for Sarah was Helena Bonham Carter before they decided to go American for her part, and a number of other actors auditioned for the role including Jane Krakowski, Yasmine Bleeth, Sarah Jessica Parker, Marisa Tomei, Laura Dern, Ally Sheedy, Maddie Corman and Mia Sara. It's fun to imagine how those would have been different, how different actors would have brought different things to the story, how it would sound with a completely different soundtrack.

And I really like Lee Pace.

But I have no desire to see the movie remade.
