Re: What are you reading?
I think they saw the name 'Roald Dahl' and thought 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and thought 'yeah, that's okay for kids.' It was in a pile of other Young Adult novels we could choose from.

(Anonymous) 2014-01-31 12:39 am (UTC)(link)You were a smart one, weren't you? :D I got my copy off some bargain book carrel at a Waldenbooks, probably more than 20 yrs ago now. I've dragged it through 4 or 5 moves and refuse to loan it out to anyone for fear that I'll never get another copy. I really love the book.
I've never met anyone who has read Oswald (or at least admitted they knew it) so thanks for commenting!
