And of course your opinion can change. Within 2.5 sec of shooting your mouth off each time, in fact. That doesn't make you a hypocrite - just means you're filled up with wishy-washy liberal guilt. My mistake.

I think you wrote the original-original secret. Or one of your cohorts did. Whatevs. Lots of people agreed with you, and that's okay, but some folks took issue with the whole thing in general and especially the flaming sentiment.
Someone (could even be me ;D) even took the time to make a retaliatory secret, and this is where the shit goes down because HOW DARE THEY DISAGREE WITH YOU DON'T THEY KNOW YOU'VE CONSISTENTLY BEEN SHIT-STIRRING ABOUT THIS SELFSAME FANARTIST SINCE SOMETHING TOTALLY RETRO LIKE JUNE? DON'T THEY FOLLOW YOUR TRACK RECORD? (They do). But you're in the middle of a redemption arc right now and can't be aligning yourself with flamers and such riffraff (I mean, flaming is so last week; lying about it, now that's in), oh no. The perfect solution? Make like a complete 180 and spew some generic public service-type announcement denouncing both the original secret and its dissenter. The result? Instant sympathy for you, while making them bitches look like the bad guys. Well played, well played.
See, you could very well have said something like, "I agree that flaming the artist is tacky but that said I still hate her for remorselessly fucking around with my fandom." instead of taking up the Holier Than Thou baton, but the rush from the prospect of all the WORDs you might get probably interfered with your reasoning process, I don't blame you. Too bad I had to go and ruined your day. Too bad you also linked to this thread from your journal, giving me incentive to go on with my mousey terrorism. Because it's obviously a clever move to draw more attention to the existence of people who think you suck.
