Yeah. He says she is, and the proof is...? It's worth noting that there's no note to this effect or anything. But the King admits to having men break into her house and waylay her luggage when she travels to try and find the picture. It's the KING who's the real bastard of the story...

Yeah, I love that line. And he says it with enough scorn in his voice that even the King - who is far from the sharpest knife in the drawer - realizes he has just been insulted.
