I agree for the most part that people should check to make sure that they have the basics to requirements to play it, especially if the release date of the game and when the computer was manufactured is more than a 4-5 year gap, I don't think that gives people the go-ahead to tell them off in a rude way that their PC can't handle it (I know you didn't mention anything about it in your post, just wanted to put it out there).
