I can't speak for this particular character, but why do people always connect being reclusive with being filthy? Because from what I've seen, for every douchebag who thinks covered in Axe = clean and sees fit to parade around inflicting their stank on the rest of us, there's a lone wolf homebody type who thinks there's no alone time like bathtime.

Not saying that stinky hermits don't exist, just that clean and dirty people are found everywhere.

I think it's Valvrave the Liberator? I haven't watched it, but I Googled the name mentioned in the thread and the animation looks similar.

Yep, that's its name. It's a mecha series by Sunrise from last year, and it can be legally streamed on Crunchyroll if you live in North America or the British Isles. The series composition is by the same guy as for Code Geass, so prepare for a trainwreck. ^^;

Also, the "Valvrape the Penetrator" nickname needs to die in a fire.

As peeps have said, it's Valvrave the Libeator. It is an alright mecha series, but there is an all of a sudden rape scene about 10 episodes in, hence the nicknames it gets :/
