The n word is a very bad word for black people. It has been reclaimed by said black people and has therefore been considered socially acceptabele for them to use in some occasions. White people can't use it because they were the people who enslaved the black people.

Did I miss anything in that? Because I think my education on it is fine

I'd elaborate a bit, and say that it's beyond "very bad word" in some specific ways. The N-word was specifically used in a way that conveyed not only "You, Mr. or Ms. black person, are not really a human being. You are something less." Further, it almost always carried the connotation of "If I were to hurt you, or have someone else hurt you, there would be no real consequences. Hurting or killing you is essentially okay with our society, and I felt you needed to be reminded of that fact."

So it's not really like calling someone a shit-licking fuckwad, even though that's also a very bad word.

Considering the fact that there were periods of U.S. history in which the N-word was not only acceptable but the polite term and "Black" had the connotations that the N-word has at this particular point in time, I'd say that your explanation is somewhat inaccurate and overly simplistic.

DA. Care to expand on the explanation then, instead of just pointing out its shortfalls?

I refute "White people can't use it because they were the people who enslaved the black people".
I have personally only enslaved 3 people (Two Asians and a Whitey) do I get N word privileges?

Oh for fuck's sake.

Because I'm being flip, or because you disagree with the concept of my comment?

If the former, deal with it. If the latter, why?
