I honestly don't think so. Maybe if it was a couple of decades ago and the media/social networks weren't as pervasive (like, I think if Sean Penn tied Madonna to a chair today and beat and raped her then there's no way he wouldn't be ripped to absolute shreds) he might have a chance but it's all over now. At best people consider him a joke and at worst people think he's just a straight up terrible person. The best he can hope for is to be forgotten or to die tragically so that maybe people will gloss over all the shitty things and remember him as a better person than he was (like how you don't see as many michael jackson jokes since he died)
